What lengths have Atracom optical networks?
At present the Company has 22 549.615 km of already constructed FOCLs, 848 km more are under construction.
 
How to see directions of cable fibers eligible for purchase?
Any communication operator or a large corporate buyer may purchase a pair (or several pairs) of optical fibres for the directions shown in the Tablå.
Special proposition: Atracom Ltd. offers a single package that consists of a pair of optical fibres along the whole length of Company's network. The total length of the offered fibres is over 19 000 km.
 
What is the cost of optical fibres?
The cost of optical fibres depends from the construction phase of the fibre optical communication line (FOCL) at the moment. For more information, please contact Company’s personnel.
 
What is included in the cost of optical fibres?
The cost of optical fibres includes optical fibres that are a part of fibre optical cables and go to separate connectors of the optical fibre distribution frames (ODF), together with other connectors and couplers, necessary for their use. The cable itself and FOCL network remain as proprety of Atracom Ltd.
 
What optical fibres are used in the Atracom Ltd network.?
Single-mode optical fibres, that match the standard ITU-T G.652
 
What is the main feature of the Atracom Ltd optical network.?
The main feature of the Atracom FOCL network is its location along major auto routes. This is especially important for mobile operators (GSM, CDMA, 3G …) and for data transmission operators (i.e. WiMAX), for whom it is necessary to cover large areas of Ukraine. Besides, the location of the FOCLs along the auto routes increases their reliability and makes their maintenance easier.
 
In what places the URSs (Unattended Regeneration Stations) of Atracom Ltd. arelocated?
The location of an URS is based on the regeneration section length (80 – 100 km) and Customers’ requirements. Generally, URSs are placed in full-metal containers with the area of up to 12 sq. m. in guarded locations, or in already existing buildings (city telephone exchanges, radio and TV transmission centres etc.) The locations of all URSs is shown on the map.
 
When purchasing optical fibres, is it possible to order additional branches to customer URSs or attended stations?
Yes. Atracom Ltd. carries out a full set of additional services, including getting approvals for branch designs from the authorities, land owners, and getting acceptance of constructed facilities from the state commission. The cost of the additional services is not included in the cost of optical fibres and is determined in additional agreements with Customers.
 
Is it possible to lease space in the URSs, owned by Atracom Ltd.?
Yes, the Atracom Company provides such service. It is possible to lease one or several units in communication cabinets of the Company or to lease space for installing Customer’s cabinet.
 
When buying optical fibres from Atracom Ltd., is it possible to order the construction of Customer’s own URSs?
Yes. Atracom Ltd. carries out all works, necessary for constructing URSs for Customers. The cost of these works is specified by additional agreements.
 
Who provides maintenance for optical fibres, purchased from Atracom Ltd.?
Atracom Ltd. remains the owner of the FOCL network and provides full maintenance for all fibres included in FOCL, although they may be owned by different Customers. When a Customer buys optical fibres, he has to sign a maintenance contract. The cost of maintenance is specified by additional agreements with the Customers.
 
What is included in the maintenance?
The maintenance includes: technical supervision, security and maintenance service, regular repairs and emergency repairs in case of an accident. If there is a technical problem with FOCLs, Customers may contact our call centre 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. For more information, please see the maintenance section.
