Unattended Regeneration Station (URS)

Unattended Regeneration Station (URS)

For operation of a trunk line it is necessary to regenerate periodically optical signals, using special equipment, placed in a facility generally called unattended regeneration station (URS).

Atracom Ltd. carries out all design and construction works, necessary for setting up unattended regeneration stations (URSs), including getting approvals for the project documentation from all required authorities. All projects are subjected to expert examination by the authorities. For the construction of URS the Atracom Company subcontracts specialised construction companies.

Description and dimensions of the URS types:

1. “Container” type – a specialized technological facility for FOCL equipment (dimensions: 2350x3800x2200 mm, the total area of 7.65 sq.m.)

2. “Room” type – a leased room in a specialized building for FOCL equipment.

URSs are connected to electricity supply lines and equipped with:
– electricity supply panel
– emergency switch
– ground connection panel
– air conditioning and heating system
– communication equipment cabinets
– fire and security alarms

Containers with URSs are placed on plots of land, prepared beforehand. The land for the location of the URS container is used on the basis of a lease (sublease) agreement with the owner or lease holder, or an agreement on the use of communication equipment with a specialized organisation with a license for such type of activities (radio and TV transmission centres etc.).

The URS container is delivered to the plot of land in the assembled form. Connections to electricity supply lines are done at the same time with the placing of the container.
